Mr. Broch is an Earth scientist and author of the book “American Conservatism: Truth versus the Cognitive Dissonance of Liberal Thinking” (Amazon, 2013). He lives in Reno, Nevada, and believes that his greatest accomplishments are being a husband, father, and grandfather. 

Mike has traveled extensively around the world, is a dedicated, patriotic conservative American, and enjoys the right-wing sport of appreciating the great outdoors while traveling, hunting, fishing, and golfing (poorly). Most of all, he loves and adores his family, especially his wonderful wife of 54 years, Debbie; his two accomplished daughters, Amber and Crystal; his two great sons-in-law, Scott and Mario; and his five most wonderful grandchildren, Scarlett, Eden, Quincy, Remi, and Destin. 

He says:

I wrote this book based on years of research, asking questions and seeking answers, primarily by analyzing data from our own government. I did this because of my background as a scientist. In doing so, I asked many questions. For example, is human-made climate change real, and if so, what are the impacts? Why are our healthcare costs so high, and what does that mean now and in the future? What is the real economic state of our nation? What do liberal “diversity” and “equality” really mean? What is the real history of the Republican and Democrat Parties? What are the real effects of high taxes and regulations? Are they helpful and even out inequality, or not? What is the real history of conservatism and socialism? And this list goes on and on. 

In researching the answers to these questions, I put aside political bias to discover the truth. As a result, I was shocked by my findings. I was stunned at the hypocrisy and deceit involved in our government. I was surprised by the depth of deception and lies told by so many of our elected officials. And I was alarmed by the implications of those truths: unassailable facts if one does not allow oneself to be influenced by the lies.

So, I decided to write this book to relay the many truths and facts I discovered to others. I reveal the truth herein by pulling no punches because, while too many refuse to see the truth, having been indoctrinated not to accept it based on their allegiance to something they think they admire, not to follow the truth is to accept the lies, which can only result in the worst because:
